FarmSense started as one of the seven(7) projects, that was carefully selected to participate in a 9-month program designed to enlist, enable, and showcase the contributions of open geospatial data for research on resilience of vulnerable populations around the world. A program funded by YouthMappers co-founding administrative team at Texas Tech University, West Virginia University and The George Washington University with funding support provided by the United States Agency for International Development through the USAID GeoCenter, Award #AID-OAA-G-15-00007.
In the course of the project, we saw opportunities in the agriculture sector and we are currently leveraging on our experience, connection, open data and data-driven solution to improve how food security is tackled across underserved populations and the world at large.Read More
